Does anyone know if it is legal to kill water turkeys. I have a nice private lake that has become infested with them. They are killing alot of the fish in the lake. I looked on the department of wildlife web site and could not find anything on it.

company i used to work for was the second largest catfish support company in the world... cormorants are a absoulte pain in the BUTT!! Try propane cannons and bird bangers first....

alot of fish farmers have suppressed 22's just for water turkeys and cranes... but you wont get any of them to talk about that.

What the heck is a water turkey?

I got all excited seeing someone with a turkey problem and was going to help them out with them but I don't even know what a water turkey is.
Cormorants. I have heard that they can destroy a catfish pond!! IIRC, I have heard of people getting some special permits ... call Game and Fish.

I believe they are protected by the Feds, migratory bird. I personally think they should be shot on sight as a nuiscance. They will literally clean most of the fish out of a pond. Perfect example of the gumbermunt fooling with sumfun day dunt no nuthin bout!!
