So what did you do The gun was blued? You sanded? How do you keep it from rusting?
Yea it was blued I soaked in vinegar to make the blue come off easier and I sanded with 800 to 3000 grit to give it a smooth finish and polished but I just wiped it down with cleaning oil to keep rust off but after oil get a dry rag to get the gun where it isn't slippery plus the polish keeps it from rusting as well

White vinegar won’t work? That stuff strips the coating off glocks. I did a barrel once with it. Sandpaper will but I can’t sand. I tried to do auto body and for some reason I couldn’t sand evenly and it makes my hands bleed. Man at the shop said he’s only seen one other person have the same issue. I’d mess a gun up in a heartbeat.
I can sand but it's gonna take a long time and some metals are hard to blend I'm really trying to get the blue off without sanding do you think paint thinner or stripper would work
