No and don't think I ever would. Shooting is suppose to be fun, sorting through brick of .22 measuring the rims is to much like work, would take all the fun out of it.

Too many other things to work on...like learning to read the wind....especially on 22 rimfire....man the wind will kill you at 100 yards with a 40 grain bullet

This sorta stuff is way way down on the list...I'll never get there....it aint that important to me

I dove into this, head first. SGMJody had 8 boxes left out of a brick of Wolf ME. I bought a box today at Gary's along with a box of RWS Rifle Match. I sorted them by weight. I weighed each individual round on an RCBS Range Master 750. I calibrated the scale before starting. Each round was weighed to tenths of grains. I want to test the Wolf ME two ways. First, I want to test a single weight in a single lot number. Second, I want to test the same weight in two lot numbers mixed. I hope to "create" consistency between lot numbers.

I was surprised by how many different weights were present in the Wolf ME. The one box I bought had 8 different weights. The lowest weight and highest weight only consisted of 1 each. The brick was the same, a very wide range of weights. The RWS Rifle Match only contained 5 different weights with the middle weight consisting of 25 rounds.

SGMJody and I will be testing the ammo and I will post back about results.

Let us know how it comes out ... would be intested in the results even if I do not expend that much time doing something like that ... My problems with accuracy have little to do with the ammo ... it is the shooter!! Need to fix that first!!

One thing I learned from SGMJody: While the majority of "mistakes" and "fliers" are the responsibility of the shooter; we will never know how good we really are or how bad our mistakes are without the best possible ammo we can produce.

HIJACK - CPT, one thing to work on when using scopes that will improve accuracy of the shooter is to focus on the crosshairs of the scope just like you would focus on the front sight of an open sight rifle or pistol. Many shooters focus on getting a clear target picture through their scope instead of focusing on the crosshairs and are satisfied or dismayed with a spread group. You will be surprised how much your groups will tighten up if you can master this. UN-HIJACK

Come on now SGT Major..... You can't tell everything ya know. :)

I weighed some CCI standard when 5 10 shot groups consistently shot 8 in one hole and 2 out of the hole about .5 inches. I went out yesterday and shot 5 more 10 shot groups. Consistently 8 into one hole and 2 out about .5 inches each. So much for weighing. (CCI that is :) )
