I was looking at buying a rifle for Precision rifle shooting but I wondered if I can do F class as well.

What are the weight and caliber restrictions?

I was thinking about getting a Tikka in Creedmoore

    rrharris I can't right now I'm busy.

F-Class Open rifle is 22 pounds max. No larger than 35 caliber.
F-TR is 18 pounds and only 223 rem or 308 winchester.

I have a bunch of friends that compete at Providence and in Finger, Tennessee. Both are top-notch facilities from what I hear.

You could shoot in FPR. Attached folding bi-pod, break or can, mag fed. 6.5 Creedmoor would do fine in this class. David M. Moore could give you more specifics, as stated above.

F PR is limited to folding bipod, rear bag ,mag feed (Not really pushed here at bar 3 but is in the rules at other ranges) optics set at no higher magnification 25x, and no muzzle device restrection. Great way for PRS shooters to keep tuned on wind and fundamentals of basic marksmanship.

I still need a scope and a muzzle brake.

The APA little B is one of the most preferred brake in the PRS game for 6.5 and such

You can come watch us shoot on the 24th at bar 3. And get a good idea of what every one shoots. Every one is welcome to come and all the shooters will help answer any questions you have
