I had planned to to trim some and was dreading it. Then I found some ready to load made from once-fired LC brass for $35/250. With the amount I shoot these will last a while.

I bought a 6" Lone Wolf barrel for one of my G20's over a year ago. So far all I had shot through it was some of my standard 10mm loads (180gr at 1200-1250fps). I decided to work on a load that was a little more entergetic for it. In the last few weeks I've been doing a lot of reading and loading for it. I usually just load five, walk out back, shoot them through the chrono, inspect the brass and then go tweak the load some more. I started with A1680 and worked up to a stopping point. Now I'm doing the same thing with Blue Dot. Loaded the first ones last night. These seem to be the best powders for the heavy loads. I stopped on the A1680 well below what some people were loading. I'm not getting Glock smiles and it's not throwing the brass across the yard but decided to stop when I was getting numbers over 1500fps on the chrono. It's going to be interesting to see how Blue Dot compares.

I ended up with a new caliber to load for, .455 Webley. Finally got my dies in and a couple hundred bullets, 100 265 gr round nose hollow base bullets and 100 220 gr hollow point wad cutter "Manstopper" bullets. The British used these for a while but had to stop due to the Hague Convention. I only loaded five of each to make sure they shoot ok. They will be used in a 1915 Colt New Service.
