Was running a bit low, and did not like some of the demonstrations,

FRiend decide to get out of small rifle reloading, and gave me a bunch of primers, and a couple thou. Bullets. load fest in progress today.

Loaded a few more snake loads. Want to shoot them but hope I don't have to!

I had stated it above but will be glad to tell you. It is 4gr HP-38 and <100gr of #7 shot with SPP. Thin cardboard wad between powder and shot and on top of shot, then fingernail polish to seal.

Actually yesterday, a few 7mm08 test loads with IMR4064, 139gr SST

Stuck a few 7mm08's together. (and they are not straight due to the stand they are on) ha ha.
139 gr SST, Imr4064...41.6 gr.

100 rounds of 135gr Black Bullet Int. with HP38 4.0/3.9

20/30 rifle rounds by hand, labor of love.
Anything else, tedious.

Came back and hand weighed some more 800X rounds to see if the carbine would cycle. Not happening. Got to go back and try the pistol again and make sure cycling wasn't a fluke.

Then came back and hand weighed and loaded 22 more with 55 gr BTSP on top off 27.5 CFE223 .

So this IMR 800X will shoot this ok, just not cycling?

Bas Mstr, my accuracy load for 69 SMK's was at 24.6gr of CFE. Same COL.,
Winchester brass.
This was for my Savage Axis, with a highly mutated stock.
Just sayin.

I'll load some up to try. What length barrel and twist?

22 inch, and 1 to 9 . I worked up some of the 69 SMK's because Savage info says that is what they used for that rifle, in their factory accuracy testing.

There was enough powder to cover the bottom of a butter tub, made a 7 1/2' line. Got (37) more rounds to pull.

What do you suspect this powder is?

Closely resembles IMR 4064, my main powder for this type round.

Not a clue, but pretty sure it was two different powders. The Core Lokt bullets were loaded with one, the soft point bullets with another. At first, I thought the powder in the Core Lokts was Varget, but it didn't have that funny smell.

I pulled down a 308 core-lkt 150gr, and it had a very dull ball powder, not anything that I had any of, or seen.
