Was trying to load up some light target rounds for a Glock 17 (new) to test.
Montana Gold 125 FMJ
VV 320: 50 Qty @ 3.7, 50 Qty @ 3.9
COL 1.130
Brass: Misc
Tried these out and they are not powerful enough to operate a new Glock. The 3.7 had about a 50% failure to eject given they wouldn't completely cycle the slide. One of the cases actually ejected and went 2 inches and landed in my grip of my left hand. Many stove piped. The 3.9 would cycle with about 15% failure to fully cycle the slide. So, guess I'll bump it up a few 10ths and try. I'm trying to find some loads that will cycle the gun but as soft as they can be and still be reliable. This is going to be my daughter's gun for home SD and she has to practice all this summer. So, these are practice loads. I told her she couldn't take it to school next fall if she doesn't practice and put at least 2,000 rounds through it during the summer. Trying to get her to shoot some steel matches but she's not keen on the getting up at 6:00 am for a match :-(
