BasMstr, the 142gr BNWC are not loaded correctly. However, most dies set will not seat the bullet down far enough without modifying the seating stem.

Do they need to be deeper - to the next groove?

Headed up to McHenry to see which one the old Bushmaster prefers.

Loaded up the rest of the 147 grain bullets for Bobcat. He's got about 350 of these.

Then I loaded a few plated 147 grain to try. I think the rest are gonna go in the nickel plated brass from Phillipd.

How did they do, almost ready to start loading .38s

Haven't had a chance to try them yet. Been working. The 110 grain bullets that Dan gave me have been the best so far.

Only loaded two .45 ACP rounds - trying to get the dies set up and wanted to try my new chamber checker. Hand primed about 600 pieces of brass, and only 4 had the small primer pockets.

Loading five each of the 230 grain bullets I bought from Spyderhead to test:
5.4, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2 grains CFE Pistol
4.3, 4.6, 5.0, 5.3 grains W231
6.3, 6.5, 6.7, 7.0 grains Power Pistol

The "clear" part is kinda hard.

Did you try the W231 loads?

Only the ones I posted. I'll try to get more loaded tonight or this week.

And I'm far from being a expert on reloading as I don't know much. But the flare looks to me like it is a little to much.

Also, are you seating and crimping in two separate steps?

Yes, this is the die I'm using. It has the factory crimp die.
