Primed a few piece of 9mm brass.....
I put them in the trays as I prime them so I can verify the primers are seated properly. After that, they go in these jugs I got from @Leadburner. This one is primed 9mm brass. My primed brass just goes in a plain old plastic bag (labeled of course).
Wasn't impressed with the groups those produced, gonna try 'em again at 1.10" (anything over that fails the plunk test in my RIA). Gonna have to wait to try these cause it started raining a few minutes ago.Working on load development for my RIA 9mm
My "hodge-podge" (~)130 grain cast round nose (from a Lee 356-125 2R mold) sized to .356", mixed brass, Winchester small pistol primers, 1.05" COL. Loaded five each at 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, and 3.9 grains of Titegroup. Probably have 40-50 pounds of these boolits - need to find a good load and use 'em up!

According to quickload that 3.5 is only pushing about 920fps, the 975 fps with only 23k pressure.
Just for reference QL says 4.7 is 1100fps and 34K pressure.
I think I stopped at 3.5 on my mp hp rounds. I have noticed when I shoot those the soot is all over the top half of my brass. I’m wondering if I need to add more charge. I’m thinking it isn’t enough powder to make the case seal the chamber when firing.
I checked the brass on all the ones I shot yesterday and none of them looked "sooty". My next step - if these aren't satisfactory - will be a tighter crimp.I think I stopped at 3.5 on my mp hp rounds. I have noticed when I shoot those the soot is all over the top half of my brass.
