What is a glock switch? I know what they are said to do, but what is it? Does it only work on glocks?

I learned a bunch from this thread. I never heard of a Glock switch before. As far as the other stuff with the oil filters I guess it is a good thing I don't have any threaded barrel weapons. Unless the rifles I have with muzzle brakes are removeable. I never tried to remove them so not sure. And to clarify "air soft" is those little yellow plastic bb's?
