45. it can kill anything from a mouse to a bear. the bear might not like it 2much and take afew chuncks out your rear before he decides to die and the squirril may be kinda busted up but it will work for anything. the best part about the 45 is if the gun breaks you can throw the bullets like rocks and knock out anythign smaller than the bear.l
