I usually switch between pocket carrying a S&W M&P340 with CT grips or a Beretta PX4 Subcompact 9mm.

The S&W is nice and light and with 5rds of 357 and an extra 5 round strip in my pocket I feel pretty secure. The Beretta on the other hand is at the extreme limit of pocket carry. It weighs a good bit more and is a lot thicker so it "prints" a bit more. But, its got 13rds of 9mm in one mag so a backup mag isn't as necessary. I've only got pics of my S&W as of right now.

I've had many many Glocks, Sigs, HK's, CZ's, and other pistols over the years and these 2 fill the carry niche pretty well for me. Anyway, here are some pics of the M&P340. Don't worry the pic looking slightly down the barrel, the cylinder lined up with the barrel didn't have a round in it.

On duty, I carry a Sig P229 DAK or a Sig P239 DAK in .40S&W...or, somtimes, both. :)

Off-duty, I am embarassed to say, I could not give you a straight answer because I tend to switch guns on a regular basis. This weekend it has been a Sig P229 Gen II SAS in .40S&W. For the past few weeks it has been a S&W M&P Compact in .357Sig, which I really love. Most commonly it tends to be some flavor of .45ACP...usually a S&W Shorty-45.

Depending on where I am going and what I am wearing. Most often I carry a Kel-Tec PF9 in a smart carry. When I feel the need fo something more substantial, I carry a Glock 30 in my smart carry. However, last weekend I bought a Rossi M68 in .38 Special. I have carried it all week in a Don Hume IWB I bought several years ago for a Charter Undercover. That Rossi is so comfortable! I guess maybe it is because of the rounded frame or something. I don't know, but it will see regular duty!

I've been looking hard at the Sig P229 Gen II SAS in 357sig. Oh well, I've got a few more toys to get before I get another carry piece.

Anyone have any range time with the new XDm 3.8? I saw one a few days ago locally and it felt pretty good. Though the grip seems fullsize and is quite large. I guess its that way so it can hold 19rds of 9mm.

heard about the 3.8 inch XDM the other day on Gun Talk...19 rds..must be a double stack for sure

My main carry is a either Glock 19 and NAA Pug 22 WMR mouse gun (bug) ...or sometimes a Taurus 651 protector hammerless (357 Mag)

Usually a full size 1911 in a Galco shoulder rig...sometime a Kimber UC II. One in pic is a RIA Tactical.

Bug is either a 642 in Desantis Super Fly pocket holster, or a Stainless Interarms PPK .380

Edit: Forgot to give credit to Jim White of Alaska for the engraving on the 642.
