I am hunting in the Houston/Vardaman area here in north central Miss. and as of today i am not seeing full blown rutting activity yet. Lots of rubs and scrapes but chasing does is another story. I think they will kick off soon but was wondering what the deer were doing in other parts of the state. This may be a good topic to keep updated through end of deer season so we can keep up with what the deer are doing.

It's on! Holmes county. Watched it all day long.

Madison county just started on Sunday at my place. Saw 3 bucks chasing and about 20 new scrapes overnight. Now just need some time to hunt.
In Webster county at my camp, they are not in rut yet should be kicking off next weekend like the 3-10 or so.
