I been reading in the survival section some , kinda got to thinkin , what will you do when all your preparations and stock piling and plans go to [email protected]$t ? Would you take from the people that have so that your family can survive ? What are you capable of ?

I'm hunkering down, any neighbor bug out it will be open house on that can of peaches that took up so room so it was left in the pantry.
Wouldn't kill nobody who wasn't out to kill me or I even thought of killing people who will come back with other people. We ain't running no soup kitchen here. I'll give you this if you give me that. May deteriate to the point of I'll just take that. Desperate time call for desperate measures. I'll burn in hell as long as my family is safe and well fed. If you get there before me, save me a cool seat.

Maybe have some caches of your supplies located in a different place than your main storage. Don't keep all of your eggs in one basket. I know what's coming to those who try to take from me, and I wouldn't want to meet that fate- not to mention, it's just plain wrong. I guess we should do everything now in our planning to insure that we have a backup plan.

This scenario is nuts...aint saying it could not happen to us...But from a practical point of of view.
You'd better have
A: defendable position
B. Lots of guns and ammo
C. Lots of defenders
D. Be able to function for long periods of time without sleep
E. Be your own Dr. and have medical supplies and RX drugs
F. Have more than one location you can move between...undetected
G. Be far away from any type of city and people....
H. A way to replace food besides stealing it...read livestock, and gardening
I. A lot more "know how" than most of us could imagine
IF you lived say in the surrounding towns of Jackson, I don't think sand bagging your house, having a few rifles and pistols at the ready and a cabinet full of food is gonna quite get the job done....It would not be long before all the "young democrats" would come pay you a visit for your goods
It would not be pleasant at all, to live long periods of time like that...I don't wanna be around if its like a Mad Max movie
About the only way I could see it working is if "like minded" folks banded together....creating their own "compounds" or small cities so that the chores of daily life could be delegated....
It would be a very tough to be on your own...I'd say most folks would not make it

In short, the supplies will run out. So you have to be prepared to hunt/fish/garden/barter and defend yourself. Staying alive becomes your job and it is a hard one. If you are responsible for keeping someone else alive, your workload doubles. If anyone takes prescription Meds to stay alive.....they won't make it. If a person is unable to take care of themself, they need to have a skill that others need so that they can trade. Otherwise, something very bad will happen to them.
If you are in an area where you have some neighbors close by, that has its advantages as well as some burdens.
