I've got a 3rd generation Colt SAA NIB. I've been told that if I shoot it, it will greatly decreae it's value. If I get a little holster wear, it will also decrease the value. I've been fighting within myself on what to do. I'm leaning toward "shootin & totin" If I wanted one just to look at & show, there are plenty of pictures of SAA on the Internet. I believe that it can be cleaned/oiled after a shooting session and if it rides in a Bianchi suede lined 1L Lawman holster, the wear on the bluing/cch will be limited. If it were yours, what would you do?

I'm gonna shoot it sometime. So what if it loses value, or gets a little holster wear! Heck I didn't buy it to re sell and make a buck. Holster wear gives a gun character anyway. I ain't gettin no younger, so it won't be NIB for long. I'm gonna enjoy it!

wise choice Magnum Man...
Only time I would not shoot one was if I bought it to re-sell

a couple paperweights on the coffee table makes for a nice conversation piece for any Libs that may drop in... :bigtu:

All they are is "things" and none of us gets out of here with 'em...so enjoy em...ever which way that turns you on...I get tingly all inside just holding a Ruger 50th Anniversary Blackhawk 44 Mag

I've told my wife that when I die just have the dozer man scrape off a place...put me in there...then cover me up with guns...Colts next to the bod.... :bsflag:
