I'm using 158 swhp+p Remington now, just wondering what everybody else uses?

Mine is .38/.357 (as is my wifes) for me I use 125gr JHP (homeloads) in .357. For the wife .38 +p 130gr JFP

Swaged hollow-base wadcutter bullets loaded backwards in the cases. Talk about a soft bullet with a big cavity.

NOTE: This is just an idea. I don't recommend carrying reloaded ammo for SD.

Then you already have one of the best self defense loads ever concocted for .38 Special. I've carried that load myself in K framed S&Ws but prefer a lighter bullet and higher velocity for smaller, J framed guns.

Given my druthers, and if I could only have one load, your old "FBI" load is tops on my list.

OTOH..You cant go too far wrong with the old 158 SWCHP in +p as made by Remington and others..
