I showed up this morning a lil after 8am thinking there would be a USPSA match, but there isn't... How do I keep in the loop about the matches? I thought they were all on the first Sunday of the month?

    Thanks in advance.

This is a link to a broad schedule of matches in the area.

You'll see that at Magnolia, our matches alternate Saturday and Sunday, so members aren't locked out of range use on the same days every month due to competitions.

However, issues like yours arise, and people are not sure of the actual day of the match. I see the benefits to the general membership, and some competitors too that either work on Saturdays and can only shoot Sundays, or want to go to church on Sundays and can only shoot only shoot on Saturdays. But, I also think, and agree with you, that a designated day would probably be best for consistency.

The main issue is that there is no May USPSA match at Magnolia because we are having the Classic, which takes over the entire range for almost a week.

You have to have a schedule for the matches at Magnolia to know which days the matches will be on.

They usually do not hold a regular Club match in May due to the Classic. The match schedule can be found on the Magnolia R&P Club website:

    http://magnoliarpc.com/docs/calendars/current_schedule.pdf

Additionally, not all the matches for 2016 will be held on Sunday - there will be some Saturday matches.

    Thanks for the info, guys.
I was going to practice, but the rain came in good for a few, so by the time I finished loading mags it was dark and muddy.

It's plenty big! 6 or 8 inch plate at 10 or so yards isn't too bad haha

You just need more practice, or aim harder. Story of my life...
