I am fixing to purchase an XD40SC and Philly Gun and Pawn said they could'nt install the night sights I want...So who is close and capable to so. I hope to have that 40 and two sets of truglo's by mid May and will them installed on both the xd40 and 45. Let me know so we can get together on it. Thanks.

oh yeah what would I be looking at getting two sets installe on the above mentioned firearms??

Do you have a vice,hammer and a brass punch? They are dovetailed aren't they? Knock the old sights out, and install the new ones.

No so sorry me no got nothing.....lol I really would not feel confiedent with alignment....Skill me oh wise one. Is it really that simple???

Yes, it's basicly that simple. :lol:
Sometimes the dovetails are made so the sight will only remove one way though, I don't know about the XD.

So you would just want to center those sights and you should be on point right??

Did some reading on XDtalk. Seems the XD has some of the hardest, if not the hardest sights to remove. Lots of whooping on them to get them off. Might want to find a gunsmith for the XD after all.

That's what I was saying.....lol I am on XDtalk all day long and have read about what a PIA these things are....So back to topic any smiths familiar with XD's in the area?? Would even be willing to do a good purchase and install deal???

Samething with the Springfield XD(m). I am eventually getting trueglo sites on mine but will have to send it out of state somewhere.
