Oh wait. They do. You guys must freak out when someone "ruins" a 1911 with adjustable sights and *gasp* a full length guide rod.

There is a difference in having an original stock on hand and having one like this and ACTUALLY PUTTING it on a Garand and be proud of it.

big difference between a butt ugly stock on a classic gun and a full length guide rod or adjustable sights on a new model 1911. at least the FLGR and the AS are functional...well maybe the ASs are but i still dont understand the point of a FLGR, not that there isnt one, but between the ones i've shot w/ and without, i've yet to notice any difference.

These people are not interested in the historic value of the Garand. They're not even interested in the Garand itself. They're only interest is in drawing attention to themselves with the "Hey, look what I got" mentality. They want to draw attention to themselves using the Garand to do it.

To each his own. He probley has a better made stock than most m1s. What's the diffrance than a pink ar15? If it helps people get into shooting I'm all for it. I wouldn't go with those colors but I think it could be done right.

I would never do that to one of my Garands. To each his own, I guess. I hope he kept the original stock.
