Anyone know if they are the same grips. Found the double diamond/US grips I was looking for, they are from Springfield. I have a RIA on order but dont like the grips and want to replace them.

unless its a compact RIA and the springer is a full size, or the other way around, then yes, 1911 grips are all supposed to be interchangeable




i should say, at least all are interchangeable as far as i know! the only time you get into problems is w/ the frame size difference of a Govt model and a Officer(compact), or when the grips are a slim style, and then you just need special screws/hardware

I just got my Rock Island Tactical. And yes the grips are not attractive! I tried the grips from my Springfield Range Officer. The left side fits. But the ambi- safety might be an issue.

Dremel or razor saw and a fine file. Touch of stain. Done. Even I can do it :lol4:
