Smart gun manufacturer responds to gun rights vitriol
Despite his protestations to the contrary, I think he's being more than a little naive to think that .gov won't try to mandate his tech at some point down the road.
Just because we can do something, doesn't mean we should. Especially where .gov is concerned.
I can think of situations where this smart-gun technology would be REALLY needed. For example, prison guards.
In other news, Wernher Von Braun's ghost claims he was just developing V2 rockets for peaceful space research and couldn't envision how they might be "misused" by an unscrupulous bunch of fellows in government.
So is this guy at all associated with Mossberg, or is it just coincidence that his last name is the same? It appears to be a separate company, but could be a subsidiary I suppose? The article made no mention of any association with O.F. Mossberg and Sons.
The caption under the photo reads "3rd generation..." and a quick check of his LinkedIn profile has this blurb...
iGun Technology Corp.,
Mossberg Group, Inc.,
Advanced Ordnance, Corp,
Mossberg Safe Systems, Inc.,
O. F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc.
iGun Technology Corp.
Everyone talking about " smart guns " , and talking about big brother being able to turn them into paper weights anytime they want should also think of the bigger picture, as in world wide enemies, think EMP
Every Muslim President
In the minds of politicians who know nothing at all about firearms... this "smart gun" thing is really nothing more difficult than taking some "iPhone" technology and sticking that into your next firearm. In their way of thinking it's that's simple and a done deal with a quick executive order or some "common sense" gun legislation.
Have you seen any elected politicians or congresscritters lately with common sense???
The point is, it's about more control of the masses. But you can't control the hearts and minds of men. Sure, you can legislate firearms away, but that won't stop crime. Take away guns and those that have it in their hearts to kill will use something else.
The answers lie elsewhere but politicians don't want to solve problems.
Well stated, my friend!!!
The answer is in the forgotten by many BIBLE there will be violence until the end of time!!! Man will never legislate away what GOD has ordained no matter how hard he tries!!!!!
