Looking for a cheap way to smelt, is this it?

Sad thing is, I had one of these for years, used it once, gave it away a couple years ago. One I had had an iron pot, will this aluminum one hold up? Any other suggestions?

Sorry Shoe....... but the stand looks too weak so support the weight of LEAD. Plus you want a cast iron pot, not aluminum.

I have used that exact same burner and it works well -- keep it around 50-60lbs of melt and it will do well .. Agree with SGF - need cast iron pot -- Harbor Freight has one for around $19 that works well ..

Yeah, I asked that when we were getting an education on lead.

They must hide that cast iron, guy I work with and I go in when we're over that way and I ain't NEVER seen no cast iron.
