Ya'll may already know this, but I didn't. Winchester moved their 22 plant from Alton, Il to Oxford, Ms. I saw this on American Rifelman awhile ago. Pretty neat they showed them making them from start to finish, they have a great selection of firearms for testing from older gallery guns like the Winchester 1862 which btw I bought 1 for my grandson to new guns. I hope I wasn't the only guy that didn't know this. If I am just delete the thread and act like you don't know me. Thanks

Yeah, it's been discussed. Actually, this is the second phase of them moving to Oxford. Some moved there a few years ago.

Not sure if the TV mentioned it, but the move was triggered by union workers in IL going out on strike.

The company made a final offer to the union and the union rejected the offer.

The company announced the move soon afterward.

That's what unions will get you.

Hey I admitted that I may be the only one that didn't know it. I will be buying more of the Winchester stuff now that I know this. You are all to correct NRA guy, unions once did service to the workers, now just to get the fat cat's fatter and make everything you purchase cost more. Why do you think Toyota's got a leg hold here? If Chevy's still cost $ 10,000 you wouldn't see one!! Neck still claims me cause I got his blueberries out of the drought!!
