I would like some help in locating a reputable smith for a Winchester 94 in .357 mag. The bullets jump past the end of the mag tube and block the gate so I can't top off, I have to wait until empty to reload. No function issues, I just can't top off my mag if I only shoot a couple of rounds.

well I'd call one of the local gunsmiths to see if they worked on '94's..one we like are in the sticky

You really need a SASS shooter to chime in...betcha they know one.

I'd be inclined to give this fella a try if I had a '94...Good luck with it

Try cracking the lever open about a half inch and then try to open the gate as you bring the lever back up. Just a suggestion. Had a problem with a trapper 44 mag not too long ago, Surplus City in Clinton fixed me right up. Talk to Paul at the range. Bruce.

Thanks for your responses. I tried opening the lever as described with no luck. Surplus City has my rifle to correct it.
