the extractor off my 243 model 100 blew off one day when target shooting off the bench, are parts still available for these rifles, and opinions on the best smithy to take it to................

If you lost the extractor you probably also lost the extractor plunger and spring (parts H, J and K).

I don't know where you're located but Swann's in Jackson and Billy in Utica could handle it.

Hope you have had the recall firing pin job done. I just found out about it earlier this year(better late than never), after inheriting my .308 carbine almost 10 years ago and shooting it often. Scared me and just wanted to pass it on in case.
