What do ya,ll think about The Winchester Model 70 Carbine made in the 80s to early 90s. I am thinking about buying one with great blueing, a Walnut stock that is lighter than the norm. The gun seems to be original and really caught my eye. Even if I don,t hunt with it, I bet it would be a great hunter and shooter in 270 Winchester. The gun reminds me of Jack O,Conner.

Think Winchester made some bolt design changes to the model 70 sometime during that period...

Like a lot of other gun companies...They aint what they used to be.

In general I like the Winchester model 70....I aint a big fan of 270 Win however.

If it turns you on...throw down for it....Life is short

Mine is in 300 Win mag and she shoots way better than I do

Well I got it today. I inspected it again and it was as nice as the first time I saw it.I will tell friends that if they ever decide to sell guns that I see and like, that sometimes 6 months to a year later, they will give me a chance to buy or trade for them. My son likes lightweight guns and guns that don,t have long barrels so he will probably like it too.
