was it a metal box? then thats the magazine box should be rectangular and goes between the bottom metal and reciver

need help to get rifle repaired has a small clip missing in action don't know what it is called gun was taken apart by a friend who has passed would like to get it fixed because it belonged to my dad

I woul dhave to look at it, unfortunateley i am far away. Sounds like its something internal but once you find out should be a easy fix
hope you get it going, its a nice rifle
