I think I have seen it alluded to that SK (made by Lapua and labeled as such) is the same as Wolf. I recently ordered a box of SK so decided to compare them side-by-side. Same logo headstamp, same little black tray, both made in Germany...Hmmmm. Course the next question would be which version equals which version. The SK box does list velocity, the Wolf does not. Inquiring minds want to know.

On my ammo test i did with my savage, it included wolf match, wolf match extra, sk standard plus, sk subsonic, sk rifle match.

Both wolfs grouped not so well. The standard plus and subsonic groups were well under half the size.

Next time i shoot them ill run them over the chrono and report back.

Agree with the different lot theory. I've been told that from rimfire comp shooters when I was trying to decide what to use. These said shooters say they buy their cartridges in lots of 5k due to this fact. Idk though. My CZ prefers the wolf better it seems, but SK is real close to it.
