One of these was unfired until about half an hour ago. The Combat Elite was under the counter of a gun shop I visited on Thursday, and I almost didn't see it. The store owner had a couple of guns he wanted to show me, and while he was putting one of them back in storage, I glanced at the pistol cases. I told him if he'd come off his price and offer me cost plus 10%, I'd buy it from him.
So he did. And I did. Now I can't buy the Pre-23 Smith & Wesson 38-44 "Outdoorsman" I had my eyes on, but that's okay. I prefer working guns to collectibles anyway.
