I got a qupte today for an xD(M)9 for $589 out the door. It was the all black version, which is the cheaper way to buy it. I got another price of $632 plus tax. Is $589 a good price? It seems very good to me. Has anyone priced and xD(M)45?

I'm not ready to buy yet, just getting my research out of the way. I've still got to save up some more money or get my 640 sold.

However, I am going to shoot SGMJody's 9 and .45 tomorrow. I think he said he got his .45 for $630 tax and everything.

I got mine for right around $650 with tax. And the best price I ever saw on an xdm of any caliber was $575 so yes I'd say $589 is a great price.

Made it to the range today and SGMJody brought his xd(M) 9 and .45. I'll post pics of my groups. I've got to have one of these! I think I want the 9mm. Keep in mind, I am no professional, but these are the best groups I have fired. They were fired from 10 yards, standing, two-handed.

1st group is 20 rounds 9mm:

Good shooting. Were you aiming low on the .45? If not you might have been anticipating the recoil.

i saw one for 610 before tax so i'd say thats a great price!

The first .45's I put the 0 on top of my front sight. The second set the -5 was on top. But I slowed down and focused better on my from sight for the second round.

Alright, shot the IDPA Classifier today with SGMJody's xD(M)9 today. It has target sights, so my time would put me in the Sharpshooter category in ESP. I think I can improve on that alot, it will just take a little practice! (or ALOT!) At the end of the practice I tried his xD(M)45 again for group. Same as last time, I shot from 10 yards, two-handed, standing. The string was 23 rounds. This time I used some of his reloads instead of WWB. That might explain some of the improvement! Here it is:
