ZOMBIES!!!!

Its 11pm and your dog is going apenuts and you get up from your book to look outside to see what all the commotion is and you see good ole Ralph Mullins, your neighbor stagger stepping through your front yard. At first you think he is drunk untill the streetlight hits his eyes just right revealing black souless eyes that are dripping puss and blood from the tear ducts, running down to a green, jagged toothed drooling snarl that gapes in the middle of his once jovial face, his now rotten flesh dangling loosely in the cold winter wind. Just as the putrid stench hits you, you see what appears to be half the neighborhood doing the same stagger step in your direction...ZOMBIES! You are jolted from your state of shock by a yelp as Ralph takes a bite out of Bandit, your Austrailian shepard that initially raised the alarm. Your friend and camping companion's whines die out as you run back inside to lock the door and grab your....

(whats your zombie gun?)

...and whatcha gonna do?

We can rally at my house. I got enough for everyone! :)

WHEEEEE-DOGGIES...Stryker, Now that's what I call being prepared!!! Plenty of sizzle sticks but I don't see any ammo. I'll stop by Wally World on the way! I'll bring my Colt .45 just for kicks!

Two things.......................

1. Thanks Captain for stating the required HEAD SHOTS. I didn't know that.

2. WHO has been looking in the back of my SUV.....? (All those real M4s).
Oh yeah.... I don't own a SUV......

That's sweet stryker. I love that pic!

But I got two things to say.
1) Yall consume too much caffeine
And
2) I'll play. I'm gonna grad my leverguns and my mossy. They will go over my shoulders with my single shot in hand so I can get that first good shot in and toss it. :D just need to kill a zombie with the single. :)
I'm kinda screwed on this one... I only have a few hundred rounds of .45 and just my XD .45 ... I can tell you this though, my dog doesn't rush out in front of me. But you can consider that neighbor dropped. I hardly ever get up to walk out the door of my house without my pistol. Even if it's to smoke a cigarette at 10 am... Some call me paranoid, I just think of myself as well prepared for the unknown.

I guess I'll be grabbing the duffel bag, gun, ammo, dog, clothes, canned food, tool box, chainsaw, & firing up the Big Bronco to head to the nearest place to get ammo & guns. I'm guessing that's gonna be Gold 'N Guns on 51 since I'm less than a mile from it. I figure I'll buy, beg, borrow, and maybe even steal (last resort if absolutely necessary) what I need to survive.

After that it'd be James' Zombie Survival plan into Over Drive. Grab the few people I know and rally at Gander Mtn in hattiesburg with a few other service members I know....Then it's south bound, way south bound.

Irish,
Paranoid? If you have a gun, why on earth do you need to be paranoid? :D
Ruger 10/22 and marlin model 60.

If headshots are all that matters, the 5,000 rounds of 22lr I can carry trumps the few magazines worth of centerfire everyone else has.

That being said, I've got several 20rd magazines for my M&P, and finishing an AR
I'm sure some of us have 5,000 rounds of centerfire. But if we need that much, it may be time to call in a small-yield tactical nuclear strike.
Can you CARRY 5k rounds of centerfire? On your person?

Logistics my friend.

And the AR is just a completed Rock River lower. My IPSC shooting has gotten in the way of finishing that thing.
No need to carry it on my person, I watched Zombieland this week. I'm gonna have a ride like Woody Harrelson's, with a zombie plow on the front!! Ammo and guns in the back.
Touche, my friend.

Sorry if I came off like a jerk by the way. I just take my zombie apocalypse very seriously. :D

As we all should, my friend! You came off like nothing of the sort. Another advantage of .22s as a zombie gun is that the quieter report from a .22 should attract fewer secondary zombie hordes.

I actually skimmed through "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks at Barnes and Noble a few months ago, but I forgot what their recommended Zombie weapon was. There are several good ones out there.

And be sure to reinforce the doors so you love tap 'em on the open highway!

Let's see, I'd go with my AR first followed with the AK, then the Mossberg and if I have too, twin .45s and by that time the wife should have the rifles reloaded again... if not, Glock .40 cal, .357 and if she's not finished loading by then it's on to the 2 .32s. If I get down to the SKS, I'd screwed cause I still haven't cleaned out all the cosmoline.... crap.

I'd go for the Noisy Cricket!!

Devastating when used on Zombies.

This and the mini-gun sound good to me. In the mean time pick I'll pick them off with a long range 308, some AR's for intermdiate range, some AK's for a little closer intemdiate, Then the shotguns, and then pistols. Layered defense! Wish I had some Claymores :lol4:
